Avi Eli was raised in Israel where high-quality fast food is common. After eight years of living in the US–where fast food has become arguably synonymous with poor food–Avi found himself craving the food he grew up on. When he couldn’t find any local restaurants offering Middle Eastern street food up to snuff he started Mr. Shawarma.

Mr. Shawarma’s menu is intentionally simple, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. Every menu item has been mindfully added and meticulously tested to edible perfection. Only the highest quality ingredients are considered, including spices direct from Israel and halal meats. While higher quality demands higher costs, the difference in taste is unmistakeable.

Hand-built fresh every day, shaved from the spit to the sandwich. Mr. Shawarma is always improving his shawarma to deliver just the right amount of juiciness with full flavor.

(yeah, we said it)Mr. Shawarma's falafel has a secret ingredient based the original recipe used in Mr. Shawarma's father's falafel shop in Israel 40 years ago. Perfect falafel doesn't happen by chance. Texture matters, oil temperature matters, along with the right combination of salads and sauces to compliment it.
PITAS SOOO FLUFFY
Mr. Shawarma unapologetically believes America lacks good, authentic pitas and is on a mission to change that. Mr. Shawarma's pitas are created by using a unique technique which produces pitas that are incredibly fluffy and full of flavor. The difference in taste is worth the trip.
